to announce the launch of our Musical Instruments policy.
This policy is available to all types of musicians who
wish to
insure their valued instruments and other associated
equipment on
an ‘All Risks' basis.
KEY FEATURES AND BENEFITS
- Available to amateur, Semi-professional and Professional
musicians
- Option to cover throughout UK/Europe or Worldwide
- Option to restrict cover to the home only
- Option to include cover for theft from unattended
motor vehicles at an additional premium and subject
to certain requirements
- No claims discount for up to 3 years claim free
- Standard excess £30.
The minimum premium is £30 +
IPT.

The policy covers loss of or damage to the
property insured from any accidental cause but excluding:
- the first £30 of each and every claim
- theft by any person or persons to whom the property insured
is entrusted
- theft or attempt theft from halls of residence or shared
rented
- accommodation unless there is a forcible and violent entry
or exit
- wear and tear or depreciation or diminution in value
- faulty workmanship, defective design or use of defective
materials
- mechanical or electrical defect, failure, breakdown, or
derangement
- atmospheric or climatic conditions or any other gradually
operating cause, corrosion, scratching, bruising, denting,
pets, fungus, insects, moths, pests, rot, rust, vermin or
woodworm
- any process of altering, cleaning, dyeing, fitting, maintaining,
renovating, repairing, restoring, staining, treating or
tuning the property insured
- breakage of strings, reeds or drumheads or damage to the
lacquer on instruments unless resulting from theft of the
instrument
- electrical or magnetic injury, disturbance or erasure
of electronic recording
- confiscation or detention by Customs or other officials
or authorities.

Important
Notes
- Provided the sum insured is adequate the Insurer
will pay for the repair or replacement of any item
as new. They will make a deduction for wear, tear
and betterment if the sum insured is inadequate or
if an item is not repaired or replaced. The maximum
amount they will pay in respect of any one item is
the respective sum insured specified in the schedule
less the amount of any excess.
- We recommend that you regularly review the value
of items insured and seek professional advice if necessary.
- This policy is designed to enable individuals to
insure their own musical instruments - proposals on
behalf of other persons or any group quoted on request.
