Important notice about our service to you and your obligations in respect of your insurance cover.

The Financial Services Authority (FSA)

The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services.
It requires us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.

Whose products do we offer?

We offer products from a range of insurers for the insurance policies we arrange other than a few specialist areas which are listed below:

Breakdown Assistance is provided by RAC Motoring Services.
Motor Legal Expenses is provided by Broker Direct plc if not already
provided within your motor insurance policy
.

In the case of certain specialist insurance products we may also offer cover from just one provider which will be clearly identified to you in advance.

What will you have to pay us for our services?

Other than cancellation of a policy we will charge a fee of £15 for any transaction, including requests for duplicate documents

In the event of cancellation of your insurance we will charge a fee equivalent to 15% of any return premium issued by your insurer with a minimum fee of £15.

These fees include insurance premium tax as applicable.

Who regulates us?

Manor Insurance Services Ltd, 123/124 Queens Road, Hastings TN34 1RP is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our FSA Register number is 303639. Our permitted business is general insurance broking.

What to do if you have a complaint

If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

Are we covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?

We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.

Documents

You are responsible for the answers given on any proposal form or statement of fact whether in your hand or otherwise. Any error or omission may affect the cover you purchase. Please heed the warnings these documents contain.

We will provide you with the documentation supplied by your insurer which may include a policy summary, a policy wording, schedule and certificate of insurance.

You are strongly advised to read these documents as they explain the insurance you have purchased. If you are in doubt over any aspect of these please seek our advice promptly.

For whom do we act?

When arranging insurance and answering your queries we act as your agent.

When issuing policy documents or collecting premiums we act as an agent for the insurance company providing cover.
