about Manor Insurance - Terms & Conditions

Important notice about our service to you and your obligations in respect of your insurance cover.

  1. The Financial Services Authority (FSA)
    The FSA is the independent watchdog that regulates financial services. It requires us to give you this document. Use this information to decide if our services are right for you.

  2. Whose products do we offer?
    We offer products from a range of insurers.

    In the case of certain specialist insurance products we may offer cover from just one provider, or a restricted panel of insurers. If this is the case this will be clearly identified to you in advance.

  3. What will you have to pay us for our services?
    We will charge a fee of £10 for the provision of any duplicate document or when we are requested to complete insurance declarations on your behalf.

    If you instruct us to cancel cover we will charge a fee equivalent to 15% of any return premium issued by your insurer with a minimum fee of £10.

    All other transactions will be subject to a fee of £10.

    We reserve the right in extreme circumstances to vary these charges. If this is the case you will receive notification in advance.

  4. Who regulates us?
    Manor Insurance Services Ltd, 123/124 Queens Road, Hastings TN34 1RP is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Our FSA Register number is 303693. Our permitted business is general insurance broking.

  5. What to do if you have a complaint
    If you wish to register a complaint, please contact us:

    If you cannot settle your complaint with us, you may be entitled to refer it to the Financial Ombudsman Service.

  6. Are we covered by the Financial Services
    Compensation Scheme (FSCS)?
    We are covered by the FSCS. You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if we cannot meet our obligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim.

  7. Documents
    You are responsible for the answers given on any proposal form or statement of fact whether in your hand or otherwise. Any error or omission may affect the cover you purchase. Please heed the warnings these documents contain.

    We will provide you with the documentation supplied by your insurer which may include a policy summary, a policy wording, schedule and certificate of insurance. You are strongly advised to read these documents as they explain the insurance you have purchased. If you are in doubt over any aspect of these please seek our advice promptly.

  8. Monthly installment schemes
    If we offer facilities to pay your insurance by monthly installments they may be provided by either Close Premium Finance or your insurers individual plan. If you chose to accept this method of paying for your insurance you will be bound by the terms and conditions of the facilities. You expressly agree that at renewal of the insurance the payment contract should also be renewed unless you advise to the contrary in advance.
